CG127 Hypertension: implementation advice

This advice tool considers implementation issues that are specific to the Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) recommendations in the guideline on hypertension. It provides practical suggestions for action to help those responsible for implementing the ABPM recommendations in practice. This includes GP’s, practice nurses, commissioners and practice managers.

It will help implementers identify aspects of the recommendations that are not part of current practice, and suggests actions that could be taken. Its aim is to give direction to those looking to commission ABPM services and those looking to provide ABPM services.

Readers of this advice should also refer to the NICE hypertension costing report which focuses on the estimated costs and savings associated with implementing the ABPM recommendations.
