Ustream Chats

Ustream offers two ways for broadcasters to connect to their viewers: Ustream Chat and Social Stream.

Ustream Chats offer instant communication between all viewers and even private messaging. Broadcasters and their assigned moderators have many more options available to them which can help maintain much more control than Social Stream.

Since Ustream Chats use Internet Relay Chat (IRC) protocols or standards you're not limited to using the default Flash based chat windows that are on Ustream's site. You can even opt to use an IRC client with Ustream. As a general user this might not make a difference to you but if you're a broadcaster or moderator it can provides you with even more control and flexibility over your chat's options, use, and moderation.
