Considering Off-Campus Study?
1) Attend an OCS 101 Session (preferably) prior to meeting with the OCS Director. Students may attend at any time - no prior registration is necessary.
For Spring 2013, OCS 101 meetings are held in Babcock Formal Lounge on:
- Tuesdays 11:00am-11:30am
- Wednesdays 12:00pm-1:00pm
- Thursday 4:00pm-5:00pm
NOTE: OCS 101 will continue in Spring 2013.
2) Make an appointment with the Director of OCS for a one-on-one advising appointment. You may sign up for an appointment using the online scheduling system.
3) Talk with your academic advisor about off-campus study, and how it will fit into your educational plan.
4) Research programs.
- Think about your goals for off-campus study.
- Reach out to friends, returnees, professors, the OCS office, etc. Stop by Lowry Pit on Tuesdays from 7-9 to talk with a Global Envoy Team member.
- Contact a Global Envoy for one-on-one advising appointments.
- Attend OCS Events.
- Review endorsed program websites.
5) Begin applying for OCS by creating your AbroadOffice account. Plan ahead! Complete applications for off-campus study are due by February 1st of the year preceding OCS.

Off-Campus Study is a vital dimension of a Wooster liberal arts education, providing students with a forum for developing a diverse and global perspective. Spend your year, semester, summer, spring break, or winter break off-campus learning about yourself and the community in which you live, and deepening your knowledge in an academic area of interest.

- With careful planning, any sophomore or junior from any major and who meets the requirements can study off-campus.
