Who is my advisor?

Intended Art Major​s

(Those who ​have​ not yet taken the initial School of Art portfolio review)
All first-semester Foundation students (taking Drawing I) and transfer students who have not taken the portfolio review.
You will be advised through the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences in 114 Memorial Hall.  Visit the SARA website to make an advising appointment. 
If you have questions that cannot be answered by your Franklin advisor, you should see Katie Van Schoick during her office hours on Wednesdays from 12:30 - 2:30 pm.

Art Majors

(Those who have not yet been accepted into an Area of Emphasis)
All second-semester Foundation students (taking Drawing II), transfer students who have taken the portfolio review, and all other students who have not been accepted into an Area.
You will see the School of Art advisor for advising.  Visit the SARA website to make an appointment.
Do not miss your appointment!  If you miss your advising appointment, SARA will not allow you to reschedule.  You will have to come during the advisor's office hours (Wednesdays 12:30 - 2:30 pm) to be advised.

Art/_________ Majors

(Those who have been accepted into an Area of Emphasis)
All students who have passed their area portfolio review and have had their major officially changed from Art to Art/_____.
You will be advised within your area (generally by your area chair).  If you have questions regarding your Core, please see the Core Requirements page on this website for reference.  If you still need assistance, please see the advisor during office hours (Wednesdays 12:30 - 2:30 pm).
Do not make an appointment on SARA to see an art advisor.  If you have already been accepted to an area, you cannot meet with the advisor during an official advising appointment time.  You must see her during her office hours for general questions.

Intended Art History Majors

(All students who have taken ARHI 2300, 2400, and two 3000-levels)
You will be advised through the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences in 114 Memorial Hall.  Visit the SARA website to make an advising appointment.
If you have questions that cannot be answered by your Franklin advisor, you should see Dr. Isabelle Wallace during her office hours on Wednesdays from 2:00 - 4:30 pm in room N328.

Art History Majors

(All students who have officially been accepted to the Art History major.)
You must have taken ARHI 2300, 2400, and two 3000-level ARHI courses AND have had your major changed from I-Art History to Art History.
You will be advised by your area chair, currently Dr. Isabelle Wallace.  Dr. Wallace makes appointments available during the first half of each semester.
