Welcome to the home page for the Equal Opportunity Office (EOO) for The University of Georgia (UGA). The EOO is responsible for ensuring that UGA complies with all applicable laws and policies regarding discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, age, veteran status, and disability. The EOO also administers the university’s Affirmative Action Plan, maintains the University System of Georgia Applicant Clearinghouse, a job placement referral service for colleges and universities in the Board of Regents’ system, coordinates UGA’s Ombudsperson Program and administers and enforces UGA’s Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy.

NDAH Policy Training Session

An NDAH Policy class has been scheduled for Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 9:00- 11:00 am in room AB at the Training and Development Center.

 

UGA experts available on women’s history

Women's contributions to society take the forefront in March during Women's History Month. This year, the national focus is on how education empowers women. And at Georgia's flagship institution for higher education, learning opportunities for both women and men abound as do University of Georgia experts on women's history.

 

 

UGA Diversity and Inclusion Certificate

The Office of Institutional Diversity (OID) is proud to introduce the UGA Diversity and Inclusion Certificate. The certificate creates an opportunity for faculty and staff to explore strategic areas around diversity and to learn more about the ways in which they can assist in ensuring that UGA is welcoming and inclusive of all communities.

 

Title IX Policy Revision

Notice of Non-Discrimination under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, 20 U.S.C. 1681 et seq.

Title IX prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs or activities operated by recipients of Federal financial assistance. The University of Georgia does not discriminate on the basis of sex in its education programs and activities.
