Over two million children live in families who cannot afford a day trip to the seaside – far less a simple holiday. The Family Holiday Association works to help disadvantaged families get that much-needed break away from home.

Rotherham Holiday Aid starts 2013 with £5,000

Annual meeting addressed by Rotherham Mayor who has made RHA one of his charities of the year
RHA raise money specifically for Rotherham families and pass that money to the Family Holiday Association to administer on their behalf. Over £46,000 was spent helping some 400 plus Rotherham children and parents with a break in 2012.

Ride Round England launched

2,500 mile ride over six months to visit four corners of England
UPDATE - Listen to William on BBC Radio Gloucester. William Reddaway and his horse Strider, from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire will set out on a most ambitious adventure in May 2013. They will travel to all four corners of England via 30 Cathedrals to raise awareness for two charities, the Family Holiday Association and the Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre. William will be 65 and three months, when he sets out on his epic ride.

Travel trade rises to the Big Pub Quiz Challenge!

Our central London quiz launched the Big Pub Quiz Challenge week, taking place 22nd–28th October 2012.
On Monday 22nd October, teams from ABTA Magazine, Travel Daily, TUI Ski, Online Travel Training and Dellar Davies were among those taking part in the central quiz, held at the Wine Tun overlooking St Pauls cathedral.

Charity receives a visitor from Korea

Charity hears of yet another holiday voucher scheme, this time from the Far East.
A holiday voucher scheme has been recently launched in Korea with over 56,000 people being helped with a break in its second year of operation. The government-funded programme is run by the national Korean Tourism Organisation.
