The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) conducts animal care facility site visits, evaluates programs of animal care, reviews animal use proposals and ensures through staff development activities that people who work with laboratory animals are appropriately trained.
Now Available - Checklist for Projects Using Animals to inform animal users on the necessary steps to receive IACUC approval to work with animals and to obtain unescorted access to animal facilities. This form is for personal reference to assist the user in verifying that they have completed all of the mandatory requirements. The form itself is not a required submittal. For specific questions on any part of the process, please contact the Office of Animal Care and Use at 706-542-5933.
All animal use proposals are submitted to the Office of Animal Care & Use for review by IACUC.
