What I liked

Notwithstanding it was a Monday morning the waiting time was minimal, the Reception staff were, as I have experienced previously, welcoming, friendly and helpful. As with my previous visit the doctor was again very charming, approachable and informative.

On my experiences to date this has to be the NHS at its very best and the ideal of what we would all like nationally.

What I liked

The Beckenham Beacon staff are always amazing, the level of care provided is outstanding. I have visited about four times in the past two years and every time I have been treated within a fantastic time period and been given the correct advice or medication each time. I have just come back after thinking I had an ear infection, I didn't, but the Doctor was still lovely and assured me I didn't waste anyones time. The staff here really are exceptional.

What could have been improved

Nothing, the clinic is extremely clean, staff kind and friendly everything is just great.

Had cause to visit the GUM clinic and a few weeks later received a voice mail asking me to call them which I did on Friday, noting opening times from 09.00 - 11.00. Despite 5 calls and leaving a message to ask for a call back, nobody answered the phone or returned my call. I guess it can't have been that serious if staff can't be bothered to return a patients call.

I have used the out of hours emergency service 3 times, twice for my baby son and once for me and each time I have been impressed by the friendliness of reception, speed of attention (longest wait was 15 mins) and effectiveness of treatment. Many thanks,

What I liked

The staff were kind, cheery and polite and put me at ease straight away. I was treated quickly and felt very cared for in the short time I was there. I didn't feel like I was a statistic - they provided a personal and efficient service, making sure I had all I needed including instruction on using crutches and some advice in regards to my recovery.

The mood in the reception was warm and welcoming. All the other patients were all at ease too - a direct result of the cheery dispositition of the recption staff in my opinion.

Friendliness and approachability of all staff. Most appreciated was the availability of a member of the team to answer any queries and to provide leaflets etc after the consultation. Overall very impressed with everything about this hospital.

Very effiecient service, not too long a wait to see out of hours doctor who thoroughly checked our baby before a diagnosis and prescribing treatment, whilst offering us a choice.
Highly recommend this service.

Staff very courteous. Even though it was near to closing time, member of staff went the extra mile to consult with a GP before prescribing tablets.
