This should be no problem. Man of Steel needs to make 500 mil globally for the JLA to be green lit? Im taking the over on that one for sure. it will at least make 700mil.

The previous superman movie made 390 million worldwide, but I think with Nolan's name attached that this should definitely get at least 500 million.

If this is true, Warner Bros is not being smart about such a big decision. Are they really basing the success of their DC comics library on how one of the weaker comic book movies (Green Lantern) performed? And now they are putting a string of films culminating in one of the potentially most successful comic book movies of all time (JLA) entirely on the back of a single movie which from what I've seen won't even have any tie-ins to other DC characters? If accurate, the folks at the top in WB studios don't really seem like they know what they're doing.

WB is the reason why they are in this superhero pickle in the first place. Green Lantern was horrible and they put 300 mil behind it (budget and marketing). They definitely don't know what the hell they are doing when one observes how much they financed a piece of garbage like that. But clearly, Man of Steel will be a far cry from the GL flick. I really don't Man of Steel will have any issues. Neither will it be the rehashing of the Christopher Reeve's era like Singer mistakenly adopted. Do believe this is going to be one bad ass flick that will pave the way for the JLA!
