Acas Helpline

Call our Helpline on 08457 47 47 47 for free support and advice

Whether you are an employer, employee or representative, you can call the national Acas helpline for free and impartial advice. Simply get in touch and we'll provide you with clear and confidential guidance about any kind of dispute or query that you have about relationship issues within the workplace. You may want to know about employment rights and rules, best practice or you may need advice about a dispute. Whatever it is, just give us a call, our team are on hand to respond within the hours below.

Helpline numbers

Monday-Friday, 8am-8pm and Saturday, 9am-1pm: 08457 47 47 47.

Customers with a hearing or speech impairment may prefer to contact us using the Text Relay service. You can contact the Acas Helpline using Text Relay by dialling 18001 08457 474747. Your questions will be relayed to the helpline adviser who answers the call and a real-time conversation will take place.

Winter weather update - Friday 18 January

Due to issues with the weather in some areas of the country the Acas Helpline has reduced capacity. This means that at times there may be a queue to get through to speak to a Helpline Adviser. To ensure that we are able to answer all the calls presented to us, we will be shutting the queue for new calls from 7pm rather than 7:45pm as usual. Nonetheless, if you join the queue before 7pm you should be answered.

For Saturday 19 January the Acas Helpline should be open as normal from 9am to 1pm, and we hope to be able to offer our service throughout normal opening hours from Monday 21 January.

International language support

We fully appreciate that language should never be a barrier when it comes to getting the help and support you need. This is why our team of advisors can assist and talk to you in any language you prefer. Simply call the Helpline on 08457 47 47 47 and tell us which language you would like to speak to us in. Within seconds, we'll have an interpreter connected to your call so you can get all of the information you need with the minimum of fuss and inconvenience.
