Los Angeles’s famed Chateau Marmont hotel has played host to its share of Hollywood high jinks. Led Zeppelin, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Hunter S. Thompson, Jim Morrison and James Dean have all partied hard here. There exists, however, a dreamy, drowsier side to the hotel, which is the subject of the fashion photographer Jork Weismann‘s portrait book, “Asleep at the Chateau” (Damiani Editore, $50). Weismann shoots a full range of repose, from catnaps to cuddling to canoodling. Patti Smith dozes off in a chair (“Finnegan’s Wake,” still in her hand, seemed to knock her out), a bare-bottomed Eva Longoria luxuriates between the sheets, and John Leguizamo nestles his two adorable children.
