STD*MIS - Training
This page lists upcoming trainings associated with the implementation of STD*MIS products and iterations as well as upcoming trainings that have some relation to STD data management and analysis. Courses are offered in two formats - traditional classroom-based format and remote training via the web. CLASSROOM TRAINING
To attend any of the classroom trainings listed below, send a request to the CDC course contact. Any questions about these courses should also be sent to the CDC course contact.
COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:
STD*MIS BASIC - This course covers the basic operation of STD*MIS and focuses primarily on common daily activities such as data entry and processing of positive lab reports and provider case reports, entry and disposition of field records, entry of interviews and related partners and clusters, and entry and processing of incoming and outgoing OOJ notifications. It is designed for users who are new to using STD*MIS.

WEB-BASED TRAINING
To attend any of the web classes listed below, please send an email containing the following information to Sheila Dooley-Edwards at spd2@cdc.gov:
- Topic and date of class you wish to attend
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your project area
- Your job title
- Level of STD*MIS expertise (beginner, experienced, etc.)
You must pre-register for each web class you wish to attend. The information needed to access the web class (phone number, URL etc.) will only be distributed to those who have registered.
