Nikon 1 SB-N5 Speedlight 4.5 5 2 2
Small but powerful! This unit is smaller than one anticipates even after having seen photographs of it on the website. It is powered by the camera battery and once turned on manually from the rear can be controlled thereafter by the camera. Bounce lighting is fine in a room with 8-10 foot ceilings and white or light paint surfaces. Even direct lighting was reasonably pleasant. December 6, 2011

Answer:
The new SB-N5 was specifically created for the Nikon 1 V1, is not part of the CLS. However, you can set the SB-900 to SU-4 in order to convert it in a optical slave but, the SB-900 can only be set in Manual mode.
