Welcome to the Laboratory Equipment Repair Shop

The Laboratory Equipment Repair Shop provides prompt, effective service on a wide range of scientific instrumentation from pH meters and shaker tables to ultracentrifuges and mass spectrometers. In general, service capabilities are limited only by the availability of parts and technical data. In most cases, customers pay a labor fee that is approximately one half the rate that is charged by factory service engineers. The Laboratory Equipment Repair Shop also offers economically-priced annual maintenance agreements for Beckman Instruments centrifuges (L and J Series) and Thermo-Fisher Scientific centrifuges (Sorvall R2 and R5 Series).

The Laboratory Equipment Repair Shop also builds and supports our line of high performance cluster nodes, servers and storage systems using superior quality parts at a fraction of the cost of commercial competitors. All ARCH systems are protected with The Laboratory Equipment Repair Shops’ 3-year limited warranty that features a one-day on-site response time and local stocking of all replacement parts.

Convenient South Campus Location

We are located behind Hardeman Hall in the old Electronic Shop building and are within walking distance of most South Campus departments. Even though we are in walking distance for most researchers, for larger equipment we provide onsite service.
