Deworm the World and the Government of India launched their programme yesterday to deworm children, between the age of two - 17 years old, in Delhi, the Indian capital.

The programme follows on from a study which showed that 16% of children are infected with worms in the city. One pill per child will be given to children in targeted areas today and tomorrow and this will be repeated again in six months time.

The campaign will target children in government schools, city slums and other poor areas.
