DtW has coordinated strategic support for school-based deworming programs in 27 countries, including facilitating the distribution of 88 million deworming tablets to these country programs.

In each country, we work with program implementers to assess the type of support needed to launch or sustain the program. In many countries, a key barrier to implementation is the lack of access to drugs. Here, we match drug donations to effective programs in need.

In some of these countries, additional short-term strategic support may be needed to ensure programs are appropriately targeted, teachers are trained, and effective monitoring and evaluation systems are in place. We work to identify these barriers and provide the support necessary to reach many more children through large scale school-based deworming programs.
