George Clooney was the night's honoree at the Carousel of Hope Ball in Los Angeles on Saturday night. And he was in such a good mood that Neil Diamond persuaded him to sing along on parts of "Sweet Caroline," despite Clooney's protests that he can't carry a note even though he's Rosemary Clooney's nephew. Meanwhile, his girlfriend, Stacy Keibler, looked stunning in a Monique Lhuillier gown. The event — one of the biggest on the city's fall social calendar — reportedly raised $2.5 million for the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes. [Society News L.A.]

Vogue has published an excerpt from creative director Grace Coddington's forthcoming memoir, and it looks as juicy as one could want. It tells of the flame-haired beauty's early modeling days in the late 1950s and early 1960s, a time of glamour, jet-setting, handsome (though feckless, of course) lovers and more. The downside: Models back then had to do their own hair and makeup. [Vogue]

The presidential debate Tuesday night drew a lot of attention for a lot of reasons, but in some quarters much of the chatter afterward was about the coincidence of the contenders' spouses both wearing bright pink dresses. Michelle Obama's pink dress and jacket were by Michael Kors, while Ann Romney's short-sleeve dress was by Oscar de la Renta. They may have both opted for pink because it is a happy color -- or perhaps it was a nod to Breast Cancer Awareness Month. [WWD]

Hey, isn't that the frizzy-haired girl who played "Felicity" a decade or so ago? She may be hard to recognize but that's her, all grown up.
Actress Keri Russell may best be known for starring in the college-based television drama, but her effortless, classic sense of style has made her a lasting presence on the fashion scene. Now Russell is back on the small screen and making the media circuit to promote...
