Jason Segel and Michelle Williams have reportedly moved in together in Brooklyn.

Michelle Williams, Jason Segel reportedly living together

Michelle Williams and Jason Segel have taken their relationship up a notch, moving in together in Brooklyn, according to a couple of published reports.

"She is renting it, but he stays there," a source told People on Wednesday. Segel is reportedly traveling back and forth to L.A. for work on "How I Met Your Mother."

The waterfront apartment is "in a stunning converted warehouse behind gates," with a view of the Manhattan skyline, according to the Mail Online, which first broke the news.

"They've been here a few months now and they look right at home," a source told the British publication.

One significant note: This means Williams has finally left behind the Manhattan brownstone she purchased in 2005 with the late Heath Ledger, father of her daughter, Matilda.

Michelle and Jason, dating since the beginning of the year, are said to have been introduced by her good friend and "Dawson's Creek" costar Busy Philipps, who was also on "Freaks and Geeks" with Segel.

Britney Spears' dad punched, threatened to kill me, Sam Lutfi says

The allegations against Britney Spears' father, Jamie Spears, poured out Wednesday as Sam Lutfi continued on the stand in his defamation lawsuit against the pop star's parents and her conservatorship.

Lutfi, under direct questioning, said Jamie Spears chased him around Britney's kitchen, punched him in the stomach and threatened to kill him in the days leading up to the singer's 2008 hospitalization on a 5150 psychiatric hold, the Associated Press reported.

Brit's former BFF was asking the judge to allow into evidence a text message in which Jamie allegedly threatened to put Lutfi in the hospital, TMZ said.

Lutfi also denied allegations made in a book by Lynne Spears, saying he never was controlling Britney's life and did not take measures to isolate her from her family. The self-styled manager reportedly broke down in tears on the stand as he described the negative fallout in his life after Spears' book was published.

Joe and Tina Simpson, parents to Jessica Simpson, left, are divorcing.

Jessica Simpson's parents Tina and Joe Simpson file for divorce

Jessica Simpson's mom and dad are calling it quits: Joe and Tina Simpson have filed for divorce.

"It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved," the family rep told People. "Any other related allegations are completely false. The family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time."

Those "related allegations" refer to a National Enquirer story claiming that Simpson's father Joe is gay and that's why his wife filed for divorce last month, a story the Enquirer attributes to a "family insider."

Back to facts we actually know: Papa Joe, 54, is Jessica's former manager and used to be a minister. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Sherman Oaks in early August and was ordered by a judge to stay away from alcohol. He has pleaded not guilty.

Tom Cruise is suing for defamation over a Life & Style cover alleging he "abandoned" daughter Suri. Here, he carries the 6-year-old on their way to a gymnastics class in New York.

Tom Cruise files $50M defamation suit over Suri abandonment claim

Tom Cruise is going on offense, suing the publishers of Life & Style Weekly for defamation and seeking $50 million in damages over a cover that alleged he'd "abandoned" daughter Suri.

"Tom is a caring father who dearly loves Suri," attorney Bert Fields said in a statement Wednesday. "To say he has 'abandoned' her is a vicious lie. To say it in lurid headlines with a tearful picture of Suri is reprehensible."

The suit was filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in L.A. At issue is Life & Style's July 30 cover, which had the headline, "Suri In Tears, Abandoned by Her Dad," accompanied by a picture of the girl crying.

The lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, asserts that the interior story does not support the claims made in the headline, and notes that the picture of 6-year-old Suri in tears was taken after the girl was not allowed to bring a puppy home from a pet store.

On July 30, Cruise was photographed holding hands with a mermaid-costume-clad Suri on a VIP visit to Walt...

Snooki wants a normal life for son Lorenzo

Say what you will about Snooki, but the hard-partying "Jersey Shore" star has taken quite a turn since having her baby boy, Lorenzo.

Snooki, the pint-sized star whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, appeared on the "Today" show Wednesday for her first live interview since having her baby with fiance Jionni LaValle. The couple sat down with Savannah Guthrie to discuss her transformation and shift in priorities since wrapping up the final season of the MTV reality series.

"It's crazy because, you know me, I just always wanted to have a good time," Snooki said. "'Where's the next party? What am I going to do tonight?' And now it's just like, 'I love my baby, what can we do with him?' It's just totally different."

QUIZ: Test your 'Jersey Shore' vocabulary

Apparently, this is the same girl who brought heels and makeup to the delivery room. But she's happy to retire from the Shore to focus on her family.

Game over: Eva Longoria and Mark Sanchez no longer an item

Looks like Eva Longoria and Mark Sanchez's romantic scrimmage is over.

Longoria confirmed she was casually dating the New York Jets quarterback in mid-September, but it seems conflicting lifestyles have caused a rift.

"Mark adores and respects Eva," the athlete's rep told Us Weekly. "It really was about scheduling more than anything else. They will remain close friends."

"He likes to go out and have fun," the report adds, citing a Longoria source. "She's more focused on her career and her philanthropic work."

Longoria and Sanchez made headlines in New York papers for popping up around town hand-in-hand, something her close pal Mario Lopez teased her about on his magazine show "Extra."

"Mark and I are, you know, fine. We're happy just dating," Longoria said at the time.

Eva was last linked to Eduardo Cruz, younger brother of actress Penélope Cruz. They parted ways in June. Sanchez has been linked to actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler and model Kate Upton.

Hollywood Film Awards: What are the odds of an 'I like you' back?

Every movie star handles award season differently. Some are openly disdainful of the dog-and-pony shows — Joaquin Phoenix, anyone? — while others are able to at least feign excitement at the prospect of traipsing down yet another red carpet.

For the most part, the celebrities making their way to the Beverly Hilton ballroom for the Hollywood Film Awards on Monday evening seemed to be in good spirits. After all, the event was only the first stop on the long road to the Academy Awards in February, so fete-fatigue had yet to set in.

Marion Cotillard, who took home an acting prize for her role in the foreign-language film "Rust and Bone," said she was reveling in an experience that doesn't exist in her native France.

"It's totally different there. We don't have big events like this. We don't have award season in France," she explained.

Seth Rogen stole the show at Monday's Hollywood Film Awards gala, presenting producer of the year to Judd Apatow.

Five best jokes from presenter Seth Rogen at Hollywood Film Awards

When it comes to awards shows, leading men and women sporting high fashion and gushing gratitude are worthy distractions, but isn't it really about the laughs?

That's what Seth Rogen proved at Monday evening's Hollywood Film Awards gala, sponsored by the Los Angeles Times and held at the Beverly Hilton, where the funnyman was on hand to present the year's comedy honor to frequent collaborator Judd Apatow.

With his honking voice and impeccable delivery, Rogen had A-listers Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper and Richard Gere rolling in the aisles -- no one laughing harder than Harvey Weinstein. Seth, so you know where to take your next project.'

The Ministry was on hand, and happily presents the five best moments from Seth's speech:

1. "Why would you let me follow two of the most handsome guys in the world? I would [sleep with] those guys," Rogen cracked of the men who preceded him, designer Tom Ford and "The Hangover" star Cooper.

Hollywood Film Awards honor Affleck, Apatow, De Niro and more

"There's a difference between an actor and a star," fashion designer and director Tom Ford said Monday night in Beverly Hills, on hand as a presenter at the Hollywood Film Awards Gala.

In the grand ballroom of the Beverly Hilton, however, presenters and honorees were one in the same -- nearly all notable actors, and major movie stars.

Like Bradley Cooper, whom Ford presented with actor of the year trophy for his work in David O. Russell's "Silver Linings Playbook."

"I'm lucky enough to make a living as a working actor, but to be with the people in this room," Cooper said, looking out over a crowd that included Richard Gere, Edward Norton, Harvey Weinstein, Robert De Niro, Susan Sarandon, Melissa Leo and Quentin Tarantino.

"I've gotten really good at presenting awards, but frankly I'm out of practice in accepting awards myself," De Niro admitted, glancing at his best supporting actor prize (also for Russell's "Silver Linings").

Ellen DeGeneres honored with Mark Twain Prize for American Humor

Ellen DeGeneres took home the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, the top prize in comedy, on Monday night in Washington.

"Washington, D.C., is so different from where I grew up," tweeted DeGeneres, a native of New Orleans, ahead of being honored. "When you take your top off, no one throws beads."

The evening — which saw the comic and talk-show host joining the ranks of previous winners including Will Ferrell, Billy Crystal, Tina Fey and Bill Cosby — wasn't all about jokes, however, reported the Washington Post, as DeGeneres was also recognized for one groundbreaking move: coming out as a lesbian on TV in 1997.

“She went from stand-up to standing for something,” said Lily Tomlin, according to the Post. Tomlin is also a past Mark Twain Prize recipient.

Sean Hayes of "Will and Grace" and Jane Lynch of "Glee" similarly praised Ellen as a trailblazer who made their shows possible. Jimmy Kimmel, Kristin Chenoweth and Jason Mraz were among the other performers lauding...
