[edit] History
KenyanLyrics.com was founded in 2009 by Mr. Majani. In early 2011, it was realised that KenyanLyrics was too niche and not scalable outside Kenya. To help tackle these problems, a decision was made to transform KenyanLyrics into a bigger and better website named Ghafla! Lyosi Mwedekeli and Suzanne Imbuhila then came in to help on the Ghafla! project. Ghafla! is based in the Ngong area of Nairobi. The venture was initially bootstrapped, then it was eventually funded by the 88 mph[3] angel fund, receiving €25,000[4]. Chege Miati and Jennifer Kimwati were the first interns to be hired by Ghafla.
[edit] Products and Services
Ghafla! has currently rolled out it's first product, Ghafla!Lyrics, which provides the words to various Kenyan songs. Ghafla!Lyrics has thousands of unique visitors every month.[5] More Ghafla! products shall be rolled out in the near future.
