Sixth Form Teachers and Tutors

The very well qualified staff at Altrincham Girls’ Grammar school is one of its strengths.  The Sixth Form students are taught by staff, who are specialists in their own field.  They have a wealth of experience which ensures the students have their minds opened to the joy of knowledge and the love of learning is acquired through the expert guidance of these teachers.

The Sixth Form Tutors have a vital role to play as it is they who guide the students through their life during the two Sixth Form years and help with the many decisions they need to make at this point in their education.  The Tutors are very much aware of the maturing of the pupil into the student and the need for a firm but guiding hand to ensure the social and emotional skills necessary in life are given the opportunity to flourish. The Students are also helped by the Senior Tutor and the Assistant Senior Tutor with their applications to Higher Education or alternative careers.

The final part of the complete education on offer to all our students is overseen by the Head of Sixth Form who is instrumental in tracking the academic progress and well-being of every member of the Sixth Form.

Additionally, the Centre has two members of associate staff, who provide full administrative support for the Sixth Form students and staff.

In this centre, with these staff, the Sixth Form is a separate entity with its own identity but yet very much part of the whole school.
