Dhaka, Aug 7 (bdnews24.com)—Opposition leader Khaleda Zia is scheduled to leave for Saudi Arabia on Wednesday to spend the last 10 days of Ramadan performing Umrah and special prayers.

"She will leave on an Emirates Airways flight at 7:30pm Wednesday for Mecca," her Press Secretary Maruf Kamal Khan said on Tuesday.

The BNP Chairperson will perform I'tikaf at the Masjid-E-Nabvi at Medina just like every year, he added.

Khan said the opposition chief was going to visit Saudi Arabia as a royal guest of the Saudi King. "She will return after Shab-E-Qadr."

Khaleda will be accompanied by several others including her younger brother Shamim Eskander's wife and their sons.
