The "Job Search Criteria" screen allows you to select the
desired criteria to conduct your job search. You may customize the job search
by entering or clearing any fields. You do not need to fill out all the fields.
Any criteria field left “blank” will not be considered as criteria. Only fields
that are filled in will be considered. In general, the less you enter, the
broader your search. By entering search criteria, you narrow your search down
to job postings that meet or exceed your search criteria.

Cities – Allows you to select one or more cities that have posted jobs. If you
wish to search multiple cities, simply click on each city you wish to include
in your search.

Counties – Allows you to select one or more counties that have posted jobs. If
you wish to search multiple counties, simply click on each county you wish to
include in your search.

Job Title – Will do a keyword search of open jobs with the keyword in the Job
Title.

Date of Job Opening – Allows you to view jobs entered Today, Last 3 Days, Last
7 Days, Last 14 Days, and All jobs.

Job Order ID – If you have a listing from a SDDOL Local Office (Career Center),
you may enter the Order ID Number here. If entered, it is considered to be the
sole criterion, and all other criteria is ignored.

Employer Name – If you wish to view open jobs for a specific employer, you may
enter the employer name here. This will display jobs only if the selected
employer has released contact information.

Job Category – Allows you to narrow your search to a particular job type by
selecting from the list, as done in the Jobs Desired screen. If you wish to use
multiple job types, you should select a category, save the set of criteria,
then create and save another search using a different category.

Education Level - Match on jobs requiring less than or equal to the specified
education level.

Full Time/ Part Time – Will return jobs matching the selected criterion.
At the bottom of the page, you have the option to let the system run a daily
search of available jobs that meet your search criteria. In order to invoke
this option, you must have a valid e-mail address on the Registration screen,
enter the date range in which you wish these daily searches to be performed and
select the Save Search button. If you enter these, the SDWORKS system will
check each night to see if there is are any new jobs which match your criteria.
If a match is found, you will be notified. You must save the search criteria if
you wish this to happen, or if you want to do repeated searches for this
position. When you are ready to do the search, click on the 'Search Now'
button, the search may take a few moments.
