Melissa Rycroft Cries Out and Grabs Neck in Dancing with the Stars Rehearsal Footage

Originally posted 10/22/2012 05:00PM

What happened to Melissa Rycroft?

The Dancing with the Stars contestant was rushed to an L.A. hospital Sunday after injuring herself while rehearsing a group number for Monday's show – and now video of the accident is available.

In footage taken during the rehearsal, Rycroft's partner, Tony Dovolani, jumps over Rycroft and then pulls her by her arms between his legs along the ballroom floor. When she pops up, she immediately puts a hand to her neck, grimaces and cries out in pain. Later, she's also seen on the floor wiping tears away and holding her neck.

"Melissa Rycroft suffered an on-set injury during Sunday's camera blocking rehearsal and was immediately taken to the hospital," a rep tells PEOPLE. "We can confirm Melissa was diagnosed with a disc herniation at the C4-C5 level of her cervical spine. At this time, Melissa's ability to perform in tonight's show will be a show time decision."

More than two months after the crash, the Food Network star got some discouraging news: "I have to have more surgery," he tells PEOPLE. "My left eye isn't where it's supposed to be and the ripped skin from where I hit the credit card machine [in the taxi] hasn't healed properly."

Summers, 60, was riding in the back of a cab when the driver lost control and the vehicle hydroplaned causing the crash. Summers hit the partition between the front and back seats of the cab.

Diem Brown Films Her Hair Loss After Cancer Treatment

Originally posted 10/18/2012 08:00AM

In her PEOPLE.com blog, Diem Brown, the Real World/Road Rules Challenge contestant recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer for the second time, opens up about her desire for a child and the ups and downs of cancer and fertility procedures.

This week I wanted to do something a lil different. One, because I've been really quite ill and haven't been able to think straight through the medication haze to write a coherent blog. And two, because making a chemo hair loss video is something I have always wanted to do – video of the hair loss process was something I had searched for the first time I had cancer.

When I was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer, I made the common mistake all patients do: I Googled! Yep, that dreaded Google search, where no matter what symptoms or disease you type in, it triggers the "Oh My Word, You're Dying" results.

I also Googled for images of people undergoing chemotherapy. I wanted to see what people looked liked going through chemo ... Scratch that – I wanted to see what girls my age looked like going through chemo. We have peer groups for a reason, and sometimes seeing someone who has gone through what you are about to go through is a massive aid when it comes to peace of mind.

By all accounts, 49 was not kind to Demi Moore.

The actress, who will mark her 50th birthday on Nov. 11, is wrapping a challenging year: Her 6-year marriage to Ashton Kutcher, 34, ended last November in the wake of the actor's public cheating scandal; she was hospitalized last January; and since then she has endured intense scrutiny of her well-being.

Multiple sources close to her circle say some friends are worried Moore hasn't fully recovered. Her thinness is still raising concerns, a source tells PEOPLE in this week's cover story: "Her friends aren't convinced she's all better."
