State Inspection Program

The Department of Public Safety Inspection Program provides field inspection services for various South Dakota state agencies and departments.

Our job is to verify the safety and compliance of numerous things, from school lunches to camp grounds, fuel meters, fertilizer storage, video lottery machines, and day care centers.

Twenty-five inspectors are assigned to designated geographical areas throughout four regions of the state.
