Gog' Helen is a new South African film about a grandmother (Gogo is the Zulu word for grandmother) with a gun, sex, murder and a missing mattress, which has had a special screening in London as part of the cultural activities around the Olympics.

The film tells the story of a woman from a shantytown who loses her life savings when her granddaughter, a prostitute, buys her a new mattress as a surprise present and throws away the old one.

One of the film's producers, Kethiwe Ngcobo, told the BBC Africa's Kassim Kayira more about the plot.

She also explained how South African cinema seems to be booming in these times of global crisis.
