With the help of our partners in Ius Laboris, the international alliance of employment law specialists, we have been able to gather information on age discrimination laws in many other international jurisdictions.  As well as giving us valuable knowledge of the positon on the ground in these jurisdictions, we can learn from their experience as many of them have had anti-ageism laws for many years - the USA, for example, has had federal age laws since 1967.

The Ius Laboris alliance has produced a free reference guide on age discrimination in Europe. This reference guide sets out the basic principles on age discrimination in the 22 contributing European countries. Each reference sheet of this guide is devoted to one country to give an overview of the structures of the applicable legislation.
