The 2012 Summer Olympics are nearly here, and while organizers are hoping to keep specific details about Friday's opening ceremony at London's Olympic Park super hush-hush, inevitably details (and photos) are leaking out – especially in the British press. William, Kate and Harry Are Good Sports for Children's Charity

Originally posted 07/26/2012 11:00AM

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with Prince Harry, flaunted their sporting skills – and spent some quality time with kids – at the launch of a sports-related charity in London on Thursday.

William and Kate, both 30, and Harry, 27, visited Bacon's College to launch the Coach Core program, a partnership between their foundation and the Greenhouse charity that will help train the country's youth-sports coaches of tomorrow.

They didn't just watch the action, either. On the eve of the London Olympics, William kicked a soccer ball around, Harry shot hoops in the gym, and Kate tried her hand at table tennis.

Prince Harry to Be Warmly Welcomed by U.S. Women's Beach Volleyball Team

Let the games begin – love games, that is!

Prince Harry has made no secret of his admiration of women's beach volleyball – and the skills of the super-toned athletes who play the Olympic sport.

And the fondness goes both ways.

The women of the U.S. team are making it clear he's warmly welcomed to watch them. "We do really hope he shows up to one of our matches," April Ross, 30, told The Times. "We would love to meet him. He's so cute. And he's so popular in the U.S., obviously. It would be so exciting."

It looks like they may get their wish.

Prince William & Kate Will Cheer On Britain at Olympics

Originally posted 07/23/2012 07:35PM

Like most of London, Prince Harry, Kate and William are excited for the 2012 Olympic Games. And they're going to be there in person to catch the action.

Prince Harry, 27, will be attending beach volleyball events, the palace confirmed Monday.

"To see Horse Guards Parade turned into a beach is going to be amazing," Harry told the BBC in April. "When you see something like this, the scale that it's going to be on and the amount of people coming from all across the world, it's going to be an exciting time."

Harry, William, 30, and Kate, 30, are scheduled to attend several Olympic events in support of Britain.

Prince Harry & Cressida Bonas Party at a Club in London

Originally posted 07/21/2012 10:55AM

She's well-connected, the daughter of a model and, like his former long-term love Chelsy Davy, a blonde. Meet Cressida Bonas, the latest to be linked to Prince Harry.

British papers are abuzz with news of the 23-year-old, who was spotted out with Harry and his party at this week's Dark Knight Rises premiere in London.

Bonas's chaperone to the new movie was said to be the Prince's good friend Tom Inskip. But it was flirty Harry who was seen being "playful" with her at a late night visit to a club following the movie's afterparty.

"Inside the club they were very, very friendly together and getting very cozy with each other," the observer says.

Kate Gets in Olympic Spirit at Exhibit of Athlete Portraits

Originally posted 07/19/2012 08:25AM

The Duchess of Cambridge flew the flag for Britain on Thursday as she kicked off a series of Olympic-themed royal events by wearing an electric-blue crepe dress by Stella McCartney – the designer of the official British uniforms for the Games.

With another nod to the Olympics, perhaps, she chose to wear one of her own pieces of jewelry that has a distinctive large gold ring forming the pendant necklace, with four other rings along the chain.

As patron of the National Portrait Gallery, Kate attended the opening of an exhibit of portraits of athletes called "Road to 2012: Aiming High."

He's giving Bruce Wayne a run for his money!

Prince Harry looked like a dashing superhero on the red carpet as he arrived for the London premiere of Christopher Nolan's new Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, in a fine-looking blue suit, white button-down shirt and black shoes. The only thing missing was his tie – and a cape!

Though he hasn't been seen in a bat suit, the Prince did recently don sleek body-boarding gear on a trip to Cornwall. He's also been known to wear various costumes – both silly and serious.

Prince Charles Climbs Wall for Queen's Jubilee

Originally posted 07/18/2012 03:20PM

It seems everyone is getting ready for the London Summer Olympics, even Prince Charles. (Who did your uniform, Your Majesty, Ralph Lauren?)

Here, in a photo taken Wednesday, the next in line to the throne, 63, attempts the new climbing wall in the gym at the Grainville Secondary School in St. Helier.

The Prince of Wales, accompanied by wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, also visited with students at the school before meeting a crowd of about 1,000 people in the Central Market. The visit was all part of the royal couple's tour to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

Princess Eugenie Poses in a Graduation Cap and Gown

Originally posted 07/12/2012 03:00PM

The word "princess" usually calls to mind floor-length gowns, dramatic up-dos and jaw-dropping jewelry. But Princess Eugenie – daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York, and sixth in line to the throne – wore an entirely different outfit Wednesday: a graduation cap and gown.

Eugenie, who recently received a degree from Newcastle University, looked positively regal in her regalia when she was snapped at her commencement ceremony on July 11.

Donning the school's traditional cap and gown, she beamed at the camera and clutched her new degree in English and history of art.
