Canada's Glenn Howard is a world champion for the fourth time. He beat Scotland's Tom Brewster 8-7 to win the gold medal at the world men's curling championship. Howard made a draw to the button in the extra end for the victory. The win was Canada's 34th world championship since the first event was held in 1959. Full Story.
Podium Performance
Canada's Heather Nedohin won the bronze medal at the women's world curing championship. Her Edmonton team defeated South Korea's Ji-Sun Kim 9-6. The South Koreans had knocked the Canadians out of contention for gold Saturday with a 4-3 win in a playoff game, but the Canadian team won the rematch. Full Story.
