Most holiday celebrants have been busy corralling stray tinsel and killing that last piece of post-Christmas apple pie, but Whitney Port and Vinny Guadagnino recently fell victim to a missile strike while practicing jazz squares in the living room and enjoying a good book, respectively.

The jaunty "City" star and the "Jersey Shore" housemate (or their remains) posted the carnage to their websites only days after overdosing on Chanukah gelt and singing carols with family. Kin could not be reached for comment as they were too deep in mourning and too confused by the plywood and decorative sconces that remained in perfect condition after the airstrike.

Services are expected to be announced soon. The families ask for donations to local ballroom academies and libraries in lieu of flowers.

In true ex-cheerleader fashion, Snooki is lifted to the treetop by Jionni.

Now that Snooki's as light as a feather, she's the perfect candidate to place the star glittery bow atop the Christmas tree (while clad in glittery red boots, of course). When the "Jersey Shore" cast does the holidays, they do 'em right, without a singly sparkly speck spared.

There was a point at which the way celebrities spent the yuletide was shrouded in mystery. Then, Twitter came along, and the subjects of limelight proudly posted photos of burnt gingerbread men and mismatched Blitzen slippers to the internet without hesitation. MTV's cast members are no exception.

In the photo collection below, check out Deena's new cat catching a nap beneath a bow, Whitney Port trying to out-tall the tree in New York City's Rockefeller Center and Heidi Montag declaring her favorite part of the season (the liquor). Oh, and Molly Tarlov gets an early gift--the greatest "Awkward" fan art to date.

Glad we can put this one to rest! After successfully rekindling the friendship flame between Tamara and Jenna, Ming faced the unfortunate task of trying to explain what a "sex touch" was, a term she had used to lure J and T to the same place under false pretenses on "Awkward." Thankfully, Jessica Lu, who plays the perpetually ski-capped Ming, broke it down for us and now we...think...we know?

JWOWW also took to Twitter to clear the air about her bleeding feet--which are healed, thankfully, after they and she chased Jionni through the streets of Florence on "Jersey Shore." The "Hills" were alive with the sound of social media, as well, as Whitney Port alerted followers to how she fared during a trip to London, Kristin Cavallari explained the science behind her "Dancing With The Stars" glow and Spencer Pratt, a new USC student, revealed that he--for what we imagine is the first time ever--was the first student to class.

Check out what your favorite MTV stars were up to this week:

Whitney Port keeps photogs guessing what her role is in "What To Expect When You're Expecting."

A bathrobe is smartly eclipsing most of Whitney Port's outfit, but it seems safe to assume that she's sporting a pair of machine gun jumblies.

After keeping fans stumped as to her part in the upcoming Cameron Diaz flick "What to Expect When You're Expecting," Whit has ended the guessing game with this pic of her on set dressed as... a fembot? Those metallic knee-high boots surely have Austin Powers' glasses fogging up in his London flat. Behave, indeed!

+ Dry humor aside, what kind of role do you think Whitney was cast to play in the film? A high-class stripper? A low-class sophisticate? (Oops, there's that dry humor again.) Share your opinion of what the former "City" star is up to, as well as whether or not she's got what it takes to shine (even without the aluminum foil underthings) on the silver screen.

Whitney Port bathing in limelight at the 2012 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim last month.

The rumored possibility of a "Hills" film was apparently not enough to feed Whitney Port's silver-screen ambitions. According to Elle's "Culture" blog, the former "City" star is taking control of her Hollywood destiny and appearing in a future blockbuster featuring heavy-hitters Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez. Not too shabby, but hey--if a rookie can do it, it's probably the one that showed a collection at New York Fashion Week before she actually knew how to sew.

Ms. Port was spotted wandering the set of "What To Expect When You're Expecting" earlier this week in Miami, Elle reported. She's not on the official cast list yet, but if a single producer catches wind of her days as a "Coner," we expect it's only a matter of time before she has a fold-up chair with her name emblazoned on the back. (Almost keeping a straight face while pranking a teenage drive-through attendant is nothing short of award-worthy.)

So what's to become of Whitney Eve's eponymous designs if she's off chasing movie stardom? Oh, she's still dressing supermodels. This girl should really get her act together.

Whitney Port shopping around Beverly Hills last week with her sister--the accomplice to the coning crime

"The City" saw Whitney Port juggling a fashion line, a tough-as-nails boss (where's Kelly Cutrone been hiding these days anyway?) and a coworker scowly enough to get her to use the b-word, but the up-and-coming designer took to her blog recently to give fans a taste of her newest project: grabbing ice cream cones by the ice cream! W. Eve, you trickster.

On the heels of "planking," "owling" and "horsemaning" trends (to which MTV's Buzzworthy blog made a proud contribution), "coning" was one viral sensation the USC alumna could not pass up. With sister Jade by her side and a fit of jittery giggles before the big moment, Whitney took a deep breath and headed into the abyss...of the McDonald's drive-through window.

Check out this video from WhitneyPort.com and tell us what you think about her ventures into tomfoolery:

The original 2006 cast of "The Hills"--Whitney Port, Audrina Patridge, Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag.

Whitney's tumble down the "Today Show" stairs with a bucket of popcorn? A trail of 10-foot-tall mascara-stained tears in high-def?

"YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID!" in surround sound?!

Audrina Patridge got the attention of everyone who ever uttered the name "Justin Bobby" yesterday when she hinted to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show that a "Hills" movie might be in the works. Lauren Conrad's former roommate said talks about a film version of the show with creator Adam DiVello were common during the last few seasons of taping, but all the girls were too sick of each other by the time the show wrapped that the idea was taken off the table. But times, they are a changin'...

"We've all had our break, so maybe we'll all come back together and do a movie," Patridge told the "American Idol" host. "You never know."

+ Interesting. Verrrrrry interesting. So, tell us: Would you fork over your hard-earned bones to see the next round of scuffles at Les Deux, or should we leave all things Speidi in the past?

Whitney Port at the movie theater in Westwood, California.

Hold the phone! Who's the guy holding Whitney Port's hand?

Earlier this month, we posted pictures of the newly single gal romping around in the crystal clear waters of Miami with a finely cut--and unnamed--gentleman. It was hard to tell whether the nature of said romp was purely friendship or more, but according to the pic above, it doesn't even matter cuz that beach boy is old news!

On Monday, the budding designer and former "City" star was seen holding a new mystery man's hand as she left the premiere of "The Change Up" in Los Angeles. The paps caught her at the perfect moment--her face almost screams, "Eeks, our secret's out," but she could also just be, er, really cold and just tensing up. Let's not assume anything here, but whoever he is, he's definitely a looker!

In an instant, the hearts of every teenage guy and girl suddenly break.

Branding expert and "Hills" export Lauren Conrad looked chummy with up-and-comer Colton Haynes of "Teen Wolf" at the HTC Status Social Launch earlier this week. Neither Colton's see-through shirt nor the possibility of him vomiting a claw before the evening's end could scare MTV's former first lady away. Then again, the two had already met a few years back so we imagine Lauren understood the risks.

Think there's any merit to the idea that these two are taking over for the ex-king and queen of the network, Whitney Port and Ben Nemtin, or was this simply a photo op snapped on the way to the party's punch bowl? Sound off in the comments and tell us whether or not you think LC and Colton should become MTV's new kissing cousins.

All work and no play? That's never the case for Whitney Port, who joined some pals in Miami over the weekend for Mercedes-Benz Swim Fashion Week. When the budding designer, who's currently working on her Spring 2012 collection, finished up her front-row duties, she stripped down to a Mara Hoffman two-piece and jumped into the Atlantic with a finely cut gentleman (name as of yet unknown). He could be just a friend, but Whit's recent split with Ben Nemtin sorta justifies a rebound with the aforementioned stud, dontcha think?

+ Is this Whit's new man? Take a look at the pics of her happily splashing around (and being dipped!) in the water and let us know if you think they've got chemistry.
