Agenda Book	Announcement: 2012 Legislative Staff Nominating Committee Michael Adams, NCSL Staff Chair, announces the appointment of the staff nominating committee to meet during NCSL's Annual Legislative Summit  in Chicago, Illinois to consider candidates for Staff Vice Chair of NCSL and At-Large Membership.  NCSL is seeking nominations for legislative staff to serve on the Executive Committee for conference year 2012-2013. A candidate must be a full-time employee of a state legislature or work in a position that the legislative leadership considers full-time legislative employment. Legislative staff interested in serving should review this document and write a letter of declaration which must be postmarked or electronically transmitted by the stated deadline dates of July 1 for the position of Staff Vice Chair and July 15 for At-Large Membership.  More

Future Meetings of the Executive Committee/LSCC  August 5-9, 2012 - In conjunction with Legislative Summit - Chicago, Illinois (EC Meets Sunday, August 5th beginning at 1 pm; and LSCC meets Monday, August 6th beginning at 9 am) September 27-29, 2012 - In Phoenix, Arizona.  This is the Fall Meeting and the first meeting of the new conference year (2012-2013) with officers and members elected during Summit.
Recent Spring Meeting of the Executive Committee/LSCC held in Denver in May The Spring meeting of the Executive Committee and Legislative Staff Coordinating Committee was held in Denver, May 17-19, 2012 with an attendance of 212.  Two and one-half meeting days allowed members of EC Task Forces and Work Groups, and members of the LSCC to complete several projects scheduled throughout the past conference year; to continue work that will be finalized during Summit meetings; and to discuss future topics, issues, programs, and solutions important to legislators and legislative staff in all states.  The Budget, Finance and Rules Committee held budget discussion and recommendations to the Full Committee relative to fiscal year 2013.  Details of the full exectutive committee meeting on Saturday, May 19, will be in the Minutes referenced below.
