VH1 Save The Music Foundation
The VH1 Save The Music Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music education in America's public schools, and raising awareness about the importance of music as part of each child's complete education.

To date, the VH1 Save The Music Foundation has restored music education programs in 1,800 public elementary and middle schools, improving the lives of more than 1.8 million children across the United States. During that time, the Foundation has raised, and in turn, granted nearly $50 million worth of new musical instruments to underserved school districts across the country. Do Something Awards
DoSomething.org
Since 1996, DoSomething.org has honored the nation's best world-changers, ages 25 and under. DoSomething.org and VH1 recently partnered to present The Do Something Awards to honor young people's commitment to social change. The Do Something Award is the premier national award for social action. Nominees and winners represent the pivotal "do-ers" in their field, cause, or issue. DoSomething.org is one of the largest organizations in the US that helps youth rock causes they care about. Plug in at Do Something Awards and the DoSomething.org & VH1 Save The Music Foundation's "Battle for the Bands" initiative which mobilizes young people in the fight for keeping music education in schools.
