Tallgrass prairie at Homestead
NM
The Freeman school.
The monument contains a visitor center, a tract of
tallgrass prairie, and the Freeman School.
On
May 20,
2007, the new
visitor center opened to the public. The new facility has 4 times
the floor space as the previous visitor center; the parking lot is
exactly in area, as a demonstration of that exact size.
