Linkin Park

Very few bands have blended rap rock and nu metal so successfully and deftly as Linkin Park. The Grammy Award-winning band broke onto the scene with their unique sound with the release of Hybrid Theory in 2000. Since that time, Linkin Park has released three more studio albums, played numerous sold-out concert dates, and won countless awards. Linkin Park's latest album, the 2010 A Thousand Suns, marks the second record with producer Rick Rubin and the first concept album by the band. After eleven years of stardom, Linkin Park is continuing its seemingly never-ending success with twenty-two international tour dates in 2011.

Originally called Xero and Hybrid Theory, Linkin Park was signed to Warner Bros. in 1999 after vice-president Jeff Blue included their signing in his employment contract. A year later Linkin Park released their debut album, Hybrid Theory, which launched them into super stardom. Almost unheard of for a debut album, Hybrid Theory reached #2 on the Billboard 200 and the single "Crawling" won a Grammy for Best hard Rock Performance. The successful debut was followed by a number of high-profile concert dates for Linkin Park, including the formation of their own Projekt Revolution tour.

Linkin Park's 2003 album, Meteora, combined the band's rap rock/nu metal sound with a number of obscure, experimental instruments. Critics and fans responded positively as the album shot to #1 on the Billboard charts and eventually went four times platinum. Instead of immediately starting work on a new album after promoting the previous, Linkin Park took a break. While on hiatus, members of the band played tour dates and engaged in various side projects before returning to the studio in 2006. During that time, they also released a successful mashup album with Jay-Z called Collision Course. Minutes to Midnight was released in 2007 and, despite even further experimentation away from nu metal, the album experienced similar success as the band's previous record.

Linkin Park's latest album, A Thousand Suns, is a concept album revolving around fears experienced by human beings in a modern technological society. However, it's technology that helps make Linkin Park concert dates so spectacular, including upcoming tour dates in 2011. Tour dates begin on June 4 in Irvine, California, at KROLinkin Park's annual Weenie Roast. Following a tour date in Mountain View the following day, Linkin Park will head to Europe to play concert dates beginning June 12. Linkin Park will perform a number of shows in Europe (particularly Germany), before heading to Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore. 2011 tour dates for Linkin Park will end on September 25 at the Singtel Singapore Grand Prix, so fans (especially in Asia), should buy tickets on Eventful asap.
Incubus

Incubus tour dates are currently scheduled internationally in support of their upcoming album, If Not Now, When?, which is scheduled to be released this July, 2011. Incubus has been active since 1991 and have established themselves as one of the most politically charged rock bands since the sixties. Known for their So-Cal summer rock sound, Incubus tour dates never disappoint. Make sure you don't miss a date on the Incubus concert schedule 2011; Use Eventful as your source for Incubus tour dates and venue information.

The band began in 1991 with high school buddies Brandon Boyd, Jose Passillas, Alex Katunich, and Mike Einziger in Calabasas, California. They gained distinction with their performances at famed LA venues including The Troubadour and the Roxy before the guys even graduated high school. They recorded and released their indie debut Fungus Amongus in 1995 before releasing a major label EP Enjoy Incubus in 1997. The band was quickly gaining a following and the Incubus concert schedule included a European wide tour as the supporting act for Korn.

Incubus released their sophomore set S.C.I.E.N.C.E. in 1997 and booked tour dates on the 1998 Ozzfest and Family Values Tour. Incubus tour dates were also booked on the opening stage for rock gods System of a Down and their national tour. The album was eventually certified Gold after years of consistent touring and buzz around the band's socially conscious sound. Incubus was about to break-out big in 1999 with their third album Make Yourself. Incubus tour dates were scheduled concurrently with the release of the album for the remainder of the year. By the turn of the millennium, the single "Pardon Me" had taken off on LA rock station KROIncubus. With radio support, "Pardon Me" became a top ten hit on the Modern Rock Songs chart. Subsequent singles "Stellar" and the top ten Hot 100 single "Drive" propelled the album to double-Platinum status. Incubus tour dates were scheduled with the Deftones on a summer trek in addition to a stint on Ozzfest 2000.

Off the heels of their breakout year, the band decided to retreat to the so-cal resort city of Malibu to record their follow-up Morning View. Incubus concert dates were booked alongside Hoobastank for a national tour. The album debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 and was eventually certified double-platinum, equalling the success of its predecessor. Incubus tour dates were booked on a headlining outing throughout Japan and Australia and they appeared at KROIncubus's Weenie Roast in 2002.

After renegotiating their recording contract with Epic/Immortal records the band released their politically charged album A Crow Left of the Murder in 2004 which featured the single "Megalomaniac". The accompanying video was banned from MTV due to controversial images about the then current Iraq War. To promote the album, Incubus tour dates were scheduled and featured Ben Kweller, Brand New, and Sparta as their supporting acts. In 2005, they returned with their long-running album Light Grenades. The album was released in 2006 and debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, becoming their first to do so. The album went on to chart throughout 2008 off success of "Dig" and the final single "Love Hurts". Incubus tour dates took them around the world again, this time they would headline the Soundware Festival in Australia and an Asia wide outing.

Following the success of their tour and in celebration of a #1 album, Incubus went on hiatus. Boyd went on to release a solo album and Einzinger briefly attended Harvard. Incubus will be incredibly busy this year, they are about to release their latest album If Not Now, When? in July, 2011. The Incubus concert schedule 2011 has been announced and the band will be touring internationally to support the effort. No strangers to the summer tour scene, Incubus brings their so-cal summer rock music to your area this 2011.
