Dr. Mary E. Busch is an Administrator and Professor of Education at the University of Indianapolis. She holds a B.S. degree from the University of Indianapolis, an M.S. degree from Butler University, and an Ed.D. degree from Indiana University, Bloomington. She is a frequent keynote speaker for educational organizations and churches, and serves as a board member for Conner Prairie, The Indianapolis Board of School Commissioners, Goodwill Industries and St. Francis Hospital.

Donald Altemeyer
Donald Altemeyer is a founding principal of BSA LifeStructures and TRC+BSA Worldwide LLC. He earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture and a bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Cincinnati. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and serves on the board of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. He also served in the Air Force and Air National Guard from 1971-1977.

Christine Altman
Christine Altman is a Hamilton County Commissioner, promoting regional cooperation in areas ranging from transportation to security. She has also practiced law for 30 years, concentrating on business, probate, real estate and commercial law. She earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the Indiana University of School of Business, Indiana and a juris doctor from the Indiana University School of Law. Christine is a member of the United Way Advisory Board in Hamilton County and former president of the Hamilton County Leadership Academy and a former director of the Carmel Clay Chamber of Commerce. She and her husband John reside in Carmel.

Terry Anker is chairman of the Anker Consulting Group and has served as the advisor and owner in several small business concerns. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in speech communication from Indiana University and a juris doctor degree from the School of Law in Bloomington. Terry also serves on several other boards, including the Indiana Humanities Council and the Entrepreneurship Advancement Council. He is the president of the Hamilton County Community Foundation, Legacy Fund. Terry and his wife Carolyn reside in Carmel and have two sons.

Steve Baker is the vice-president of Utility Consulting Professionals. He is the past co-general chairman of the 2009 US Senior Open and past president of the Indiana Golf Association. Currently, Steve is the chairman of the board of directors for the Indiana Golf Foundation.

Mike Blakley
Mike Blakley is Chairman of the Board of The Blakley Corporation, a company founded by his grandfather in 1895. A graduate of University of Illinois, Mike earned his degree in urban land economics. He also graduated from the United States Air Force Flight School and served as a pilot with the Indiana National Guard. Mike currently serves on the boards of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Tile, Marble and Terrazzo Contractors Association of Central Indiana, Rose-Hulman Indianapolis Board of Associates, FBI Citizens’ Academy Foundation, and Goodwill Industries. Mike and his wife, Barbara resides in Fishers. They have been married for more than 40 years and have two grown daughters, and one granddaughter.

Bruce Bryant
Bruce Bryant launched Promotus Advertising in 1983 and has built one of the most respected agencies in the state. Indiana Federation of Advertising Agencies (IFAA) named Bruce “Ad Person of the Year” in 1998-1999 and again in 2002-2003. He is the first African American to be named “Ad Person of the Year” and one of only three people to win the award twice. Bruce has served on the Better Business Bureau's Local Advertising Review Board (LARB), and also with Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership, American Advertising Federation (Indianapolis) and The Wellness Community. Bruce resides in Indianapolis.

Roy Cage is retired from Eli Lilly, where he held several vice president positions. He graduated from the Royal Agricultural College in England with a National Diploma in Agriculture. Following his retirement in 1993, Roy spent time working with Habitat for Humanity and the woodworkers at Conner Prairie. He and his wife Mary have been members of the Conner Society for many years. They have three sons.

Susan Conner is a professional with more than 25 years experience in communications and philanthropy. She served most recently as senior vice president for Public Affairs and Corporate Communications of USA Group. Susan holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration from the Indiana University School of Journalism. Susan is married to Michael and has two sons.

Bill Corley retired from the Community Health Network in 2010 where he served as president and chief executive officer. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary and obtained his master’s degree in hospital administration from Duke University.

Berkley W Duck III
Berkley Duck retired from the Indianapolis law firm of Ice Miller in 2001 following 38 years of service where he was one of the firm’s managing partners. He is a graduate of Brown University and Harvard Law School. He has served on the boards of directors of several nonprofit corporations in addition to Conner Prairie. As chairman of the advocacy group Save the Prairie, Inc., Berkley led the effort in support of Conner Prairie’s independence from Earlham College. Berkley and his wife Nancy reside in Carmel.

Nancy Fyffe is president of Third Eye Creative Advising. Nancy graduated from Indiana University and went on to graduate studies at Sarah Lawrence College and the University of Southern California. Before creating her own business, she was a director/producer for several media outlets nationwide. She also managed a PBS television station and is an award-winning documentary producer/writer.

Keith Gambrel is a partner in Audit and Assurance Services at Katz, Sapper & Miller. He co-chairs the firm’s Not-for-Profit and Governmental Services Group, and the Real Estate Services Group. Keith has served as a member of the board of directors of various not-for-profits. He earned a bachelor of science degree from Indiana University. Keith and his wife Carol have three children and reside in Zionsville.

Kevin Hitchen
Kevin Hitchen is a Senior Investment Analyst at the Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS). Kevin has a degree in finance from Butler University. Outside of the office, he is the president of the Conner Prairie Horizon Council and is on the board of advisors for the Butler University Student Managed Investment Fund. Kevin resides in Brownsburg.

Nancy Huber is president and CEO of Fifth Third Bank (Central Indiana). She received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Miami University in Ohio. She serves on the board of directors for WFYI, Indianapolis Art Center, and the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce.

Stan C. Hurt
Stan Hurt is a longtime business and cultural leader in Indianapolis. He currently serves as chairman of the board of the Arts Council of Indianapolis. Stan is retired chairman and owner of Indiana Supply and is a civil war re-enactor. He was appointed to the Conner Prairie Foundation Board by Governor Mitch Daniels in 2005 and nominated to the Conner Prairie Museum Board by Governor Mitch Daniels.

Nathaniel Jones is the superintendant of schools for the Metropolitan School District of Pike Township. He taught for 5 years in Indianapolis public schools and went on to serve for 25 years in the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township. He has received three degrees from Indiana University and numerous local, state and national recognitions for his leadership and innovative approach to educating students. Nathaniel is married to Cynthia Jones and has two children and three grandsons.

Timothy Lawson is an attorney at Hall Render Killian Heath & Lyman. He received his law degree at the University of Louisville School of Law. His practice areas include clinical services and patient care issues. He is a fellow with the American College of Health Care Executives.

Helen Lewis is president and CEO of RHL, Inc and owns Martinizing Dry Cleaning in the Westfield/Carmel area. She has a masters of public administration degree (healthcare administration emphasis) from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor's of Science degree in marketing from Ball State University. Helen has served as on the board for School on Wheels, Inc. and is a member of the Links, Inc. Indianapolis chapter, a philanthropic organization that supports education, arts and national and international services for underserved communities. She lives in Carmel with her husband Randall and two children.

Bud Melton is a retired president and chief executive officer of First Indiana Bank. Owen received a bachelor of science degree in finance from Indiana University and completed the graduate program at the Graduate School of Savings and Loan. He currently serves as a member of the board of trustees for the State of Indiana Finance Authority, a board member for Credit Risk Committee at Star Financial Bank and chairman of Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana board of directors, among other board positions. Bud and his wife Christine reside in Carmel and have two sons and a daughter.

Ginger Merkel is a certified financial planner and an accredited domestic partnership advisor. She earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from Indiana University. She serves on the board of the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis and The Hoosier Salon. Virginia and her husband Roger reside in Indianapolis.

Marjorie Meyer is on the board of two family companies – Meyer Plastics in Indianapolis and TEDCO in Hagerstown. She serves on the board of the Ruth Lilly Education Center and has provided past leadership for many organizations including Goodwill, Hanover College and the Dyslexia Institute of Indiana. Marjorie is the author of "One Man’s Vision", a biography of Ralph Teetor and is a 2nd Presbyterian Church elder. She resides in Indianapolis and has four children and nine grandchildren.

Through the years, Anthony has built strong philanthropic relationships in Central Indiana with many nonprofit organizations. Jane Niederberger is a healthcare operations and technology consultant. Jane has a bachelor's degree in science from Simmons College and a master's degree in business administration from Northeastern University. She is currently a board member for HealthX and the Dean's Advisory Council for Indiana University School of Informatics. Jane and her husband Mark reside in Carmel and have two daughters.

Jay Ricker is chairman of Ricker Oil Company, Inc. He is past chair of the National Association of Convenience Stores and the BP Amoco Marketers Association and past president of the Indiana Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association. Jay has a bachelor’s degree in science from Purdue University. He is or has been active in a number of community groups including Community Hospital of Anderson and the Madison County Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife Nancy have two adult children.

Pat Garrett Rooney is currently serving the community on several boards including Vice Chair for the Board of Governors, Legacy Fund Foundation and Indianapolis Civic Theater. She graduated from Kent State with a Bachelor of Science in education. Her business interests have included ownership of Adventures Unlimited Travel in Noblesville and controller of Earle Travel, Ltd. Pat has three grown children and two grandchildren.

Hilary Salatich is the founder and owner of Hilary Salatich Associates, an independent investment marketing firm, and a former senior vice president of Conseco Capital Management and Phoenix Investments Partners. She is an honorary trustee of the Indianapolis Civic Theatre and currently a member of the Crown Hill Board of Corporators, Eiteljorg Museum Advisory Board and Indianapolis Garden Club board. She is a past board member of several organizations including Indianapolis Art Center, Indianapolis Humane Society, and Easter Seals Crossroads Center. Hilary and her husband Ron reside in Indianapolis.

Philip Scarpino is a professor of history and Director of Public History at Indiana University Purdue University, Indianapolis. He earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Montana, and a Master of Arts and doctor of philosophy degree at the University of Missouri. He has worked with a number of museums that have mounted exhibits with environmental themes, several funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Jerry Semler is the chairman emeritus of American United Mutual Insurance Holding Company, parent of OneAmerica Financial Partners, Inc. He received a bachelor’s degree in industrial economics from Purdue University and completed the Business Executive Program at Stanford University. He was named Business Leader of the Year in 2004 by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and serves on the boards of many civic, charitable and church-related organizations.

Rich Thrapp is a corporate lawyer at Ice Miller. He was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Indiana Business Law Survey Commission and was elected as its chairman in 2006. He was a member of the drafting committee for Indiana's Limited Liability Company Act and served on the drafting committee for the Indiana Nonprofit Corporation Act. Rich serves on the boards of the Indianapolis Zoo and the Indianapolis Cultural Trail. He graduated from DePauw University where he received his bachelor of arts, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa. He obtained his juris doctor from Indiana University School of Law-Bloomington, where he graduated magna cum laude, Order of the Coif. Richard and his wife Linda reside in Indianapolis.

William received a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Michigan State University and his doctorate in animal nutrition from the University of Nebraska. Megan Wiles is serving as president of the Conner Prairie Alliance, where she previously served as chair of the Apple Store in 2010. She has a bachelor of science degree in telecommunications and marketing from Ball State University. Megan has worked in the marketing/fundraising areas of various companies, then moved to the non-profit sector.

John Young is retired chairman and CEO of the Jay Garment Corporation and currently raises Angus beef cattle in Julesburg, Colorado. He is a graduate of Earlham College where he is currently vice-chair of the Board of Trustees. John also chairs the Jay County Hospital Foundation Board of Directors. He and his wife Gretchen reside on their farm near Portland, Indiana.

Morris Mills is a former state senator, and also a former state representative. He brings a wide scope of experience in state budgetary matters having served as budget chairman of the Senate Finance Committee. Mr. Mills was recently honored by IUPUI by naming an atrium of a new building. Morris joined the RIPEA Board in 2001. He resides in Ladoga, IN.

Tom Fisher
Tom Fisher recently retired from the Indiana Tax Court after serving for 25 years. He was the first Indiana Tax Court judge, appointed by Governor Robert Orr and is nationally recognized for building a unified body of Indiana common law in taxation. Tom graduated from Earlham College and the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University. He is a past president of the Columbia Club and serves on the Board of the Governors of the Society of Indiana Pioneers. He is married to Barbara Fisher and has two children and seven grandchildren.
