The first video footage of Tim Schafer and Double Fine Production's KickStarter funded adventure game title had gone online for a short bit but was quickly pulled about as fast as it went up. Still, someone managed to grab a quick snapshot before the whole thing was pulled.
The Paranoid Gamer reports that a short 30 second preview video of Double Fine's upcoming, crowd-source funded adventure game appeared online briefly, giving gamers and everyone else alike a quick glimpse at the game's lighting mechanics. It wasn't long after that the video and all subsequent videos going into duplication were quickly pulled and adamantly removed. Of course, there's no way to really tell that the whole thing is legit given that it's just removed videos but Schafer and crew, via Twitter, have acknowledged the existence of the videos and played it off as if gamers were just dreaming it up. However, it's not unlikely that Double Fine would tease and tantalize gamers with tidbits of promotional assets and they do acknowledge that some videos did recently leak out. So, yeah, you have that. The Double Fine KickStarter adventure game has garnered more than $3 million in crowd-sourcing and the game will be appearing on multiple platforms (just not the home consoles, for now). The game is currently in works at Double Fine Productions and the whole thing is being documented by a film crew to give gamers an inside look at how a game is designed from start to finish.
