CHESTER- Every winter, ice carvers descend on the winding village center, ready to wield chain saws, chisels and other tools of their trade.
And while ice sculptors come in many shapes and guises to create their fleeting art, at the annual Ice Carving Competition at the 2011 Chester Winter Carnivale, it came down to 11 cold, brave souls.
Add in two qualified experts to judge: retired chef and ice sculptor Leon Roberge and ice carver Nicholas Follacchio, with a combined 75 years of professional ice carving experience.Read Story
