The national unemployment rate dropped to 8.2 percent in March, but new job figures announced Friday fell far short of expectations. State unemployment rates for February, announced last week, dropped in 29 states and Puerto Rico, remained unchanged in 13 states and the District of Columbia, and rose in eight states. More
