Days after the 50th annual St. Patrick's Day parade in downtown Scranton, the numbers are in for both downtown business owners and Scranton police.
Thousands of people flocked to downtown Scranton Saturday for the parade, bringing with them the appetite to eat, drink and spend.
For the owners of the Cigar Club on Spruce Street, which is right on the parade route, parade day is considered the shop's black Friday.
"Parade day is our single biggest day all year, La Fest is huge for us, but parade day, one day is absolutely phenomenal. It's like our black Friday," said Andy Genovese, owner of the Cigar Club. He added for cigars alone they easily sold 300 throughout the entire day, with steady traffic coming in all 14 hours they were opened.
A tent was also set up in front of the store, which was jam packed all day long, as well.
A block over, at Brixx Bar and Restaurant the owner was also celebrating an overall successful parade day.
