A pair of Western Mustangs were named 2012 volleyball all-Canadians.
Middle hitter Phil James was named to the first team, while left-side hitter Garrett May was named to the second.
Both James and May earned first-team OUA all-star spots this season as they led their team to a 16-2 regular season record and first place in the OUA. James posted an impressive kill percentage of 0.473 on his way to 146 kills, while May's 179 kills ranked him ninth in the OUA.
Three Mustangs won women's basketball honours.
Third-year guard Jenny Vaughan was named an Ontario university first team all-star. Vaughan finished eighth in league scoring averaging 14 points a game.
Laura Dally was named a second team all-star. The second year guard averaged almost 13 points a game and finished seventh in the conference in three-pointers with 38.
Annabel Hancock was named to the OUA all-rookie team.
For the Mustang men's basketball team, fifth-year guard Ryan Barbeau was named to the OUA West conference first team and Ryan Higgins was named to the West all-rookie team.
