Trail of Treats – WNEP-TV hosts annual Halloween parties for disabled children with the support of local hotels and corporate sponsors.

Feed a Friend Project – WNEP-TV along with the support of civic groups, churches, schools, businesses and our entire region collect food and money to provide food for needy families during Thanksgiving.

Christmas Parade – WNEP-TV personalities showcase and highlight all the excitement of the Parade and Santa's arrival in this annual live broadcast from downtown Scranton.

Dream Team Banquet – WNEP-TV Sportscaster, Jim Coles, hosts this local high school football banquet celebrating some of NEPA's best football athletes.

Home and Backyard Expo – A spin-off of our weekly locally produced television program, this three-day event is held at a local venue every other year highlighting home and backyard vendors.

Pennsylvania Outdoor Life – A spin-off of another of our locally produced television programs now in its 22nd year features vendors that appeal to all types of outdoor enthusiasts.

Saint Joseph Festival – WNEP-TV locally produces this annual telethon that has successfully raised millions of dollars for children and young adults with severe physical and mental disabilities.

Go Joe Bike Race – Weatherman, Joe Snedeker bikes hundreds of miles annually, raising money for St. Joes.

Steamtown Marathon – Since its inception, WNEP-TV has broadcast this Marathon – a Boston Marathon qualifier that draws thousands of people from all over the world and also benefits St. Joes.

Muscular Dystrophy Telethon – WNEP-TV makes a difference for many children and adults in this annual event, raising millions of dollar over the years.

Public Service Bulletin Board - Community events can be posted on the PSBB by logging onto WNEP.com.

In Your Neighborhood – A feature that promotes local activities for non-profit organizations. They air several times each week and topics are randomly selected from the public service bulletin board.

Public Service Announcements – WNEP-16 donates hundreds of thousands of dollars in air time to local charities.

Closed Captioning – WNEP-TV 16 was the first station in NEPA to close caption Newscasts for the hearing impaired.
