WNEP-TV is proud to present the 2011 Super 16 Dream Team in High Definition!
The Newswatch 16 Sports Team for made one huge weekend of football that much more special with the announcement of the Super 16 Dream Team. WNEP introduced you to our area’s top 32 high school football players - players from 22 schools across Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania. Congratulations to all the players as well as our top award winners: Offensive Player of the Year Eugene Lewis of Wyoming Valley West; Defensive Player of the Year Nyeem Wartman of Valley View; Overall Player of the Year Blake Rankin of Bloomsburg Area; and Scholar-Athlete Cody Shustack of Mt. Carmel Area.
The student body helped us celebrate Southern Columbia Area - the #1 Team in this year's Super 16.
Coach Steve Armillay and Coach Curry gave their take on what you need to be a standout offensive and defensive player.
