Grade Conversion Tool

This Grade Conversion Tool provides a comparison between grades in the United States and grades in other countries. Dozens of different grading systems exist in education systems around the world. Likewise, entry requirements for schools are listed in different grading systems, making it difficult to determine if a student is eligible for a given programme.

Both students who want to study in the United States and students from the United States who want to study elsewhere will find this tool useful. Just use the dropdown menu below to select the country whose grading system you'd like to compare with the United States and bring yourself one step closer to fulfilling your study abroad dream!

Thousands of students from the United States and around the world study abroad every year, enrolling in various education programmes, each with unique entry requirements. One of the challenges of applying to study abroad in another country is the use of different grading systems.

This Grade Conversion Tool – created and provided by WES (World Education Services) – makes it easier for students seeking to compare grades to the United States' grading system to determine their eligibility to pursue an education there or abroad. With the information provided in this Grade Conversion Tool, students can decide to which schools they'd like to apply - and will hopefully study abroad in the near future!
