BREAKING NEWS SMS

BBC News can send you SMS alerts about major breaking news stories direct to your mobile phone.

Sign up for the service by texting ALERTS START to 82002. You can end your subscription at any time by texting STOP to 82002.

Each text message costs between 10p and 12p, depending on your network and tariff. Only phones on UK networks can sign up.
