NEW! Starting on August 30, 2010, the University of Minnesota changes the parking rules for mopeds.
If the license plate is marked "MP" or "MOPED", drivers need to park at designated moped areas on campus. A FREE sticker is available from the U of M Police Department (this is required). The Police Department is located at 100 Transportation & Safety Building, 511 Washington Avenue SE, East Bank campus. Hours are Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Drivers will need to bring three things to pick up the free sticker:
Mopeds and motor scooters are prohibited from all campus sidewalks and can be assessed a parking ticket for parking at bike racks on campus.
As a reminder, in Minnesota, all mopeds/motor scooters must have a license plate.
