Weird Vibes believes music videos still deserve their own show. Each monthly episode of Weird Vibes has a different theme starring the best bands on the blogosphere and/or assorted alternative weirdos in ways you’ve probably never seen before. The show is devoted to showcasing music videos exclusively by bands who are self-released or on indie labels, including M83, Neon Indian, St. Vincent, Real Estate, Grimes, Tune-Yards, Holy Ghost!, Twin Shadow, Beach Fossils, Toro Y Moi, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, and so much more! Weird Vibes is produced & edited by Shirley Braha, who made the indie music television show "New York Noise" on the public station NYC TV from 2003 to 2009. It was a 'groundbreaking show that developed a loyal following,' according to the New York Times. "Weird Vibes flaunts MTV's vintage format: music videos, interviews with indie and underground artists." – Wall Street Journal "Anyone who reads this site [BrooklynVegan] or Pitchfork regularly will get it and should find it very entertaining." – BrooklynVegan.com "Lots of Indie-rockers being goofy" – NYMag.com |
