Video: Sir Gawain and The Green Knight
In the January issue of History Today, Nicholas Mee writes about Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and his attempts at identifying both the anonymous poem's benefactor and the location in which its drama unfolds.
He's not the first to try and unravel this medieval mystery. In 2010 the BBC producted a documentary about the poem, presented by Simon Armitage, author of a recent translation. The hour-long programme can be watched above.
You can read Nicholas Mee's piece, Patron's Place, in this month's issue of the magazine.
