In the women’s 100m freestyle, Hayley Nell (London, ON) dominated the final heat with a time of 55.71, defending her gold medal title.

In the men's 1500m freestyle event, the Mustangs swept all three medals.  Robert Wise (Dorchester, ON) captured the gold with a time of 15:31.98.   Teammates, David Hatch (North York, ON) finished second and Eric Dolan (Woodbridge, ON) was third.  Hatch improved on his bronze medal performance from last season.

In the men’s 100m breastroke, teammates Bryn Jones (Newmarket, ON) and Jake Armstrong of Western battled for the gold medal spot. Bryn Jones out-touched Armstrong and finished with a record breaking time of 1.01.17 to defend his gold medal title. Armstrong (1.01.87) also finished second at last year’s competition.

The Toronto Varsity Blues won the gold medal in the women’s 400m medley relay with a time of 4.12.59, well below the CIS qualifying time and breaking the OUA record, previously held by Western.
