Women's basketball ranked third as seven Mustangs teams in Blackberry CIS Top Ten
Women's basketball, men's volleyball, men's hockey, men and women's track and men and women's swimming all ranked nationally.

LONDON, Ont. - As second semester gets underway and the first Blackberry CIS Top Ten list of 2011 is announced, the Western Mustangs are well represented in a number of sports.
With a 57-54 win over previously No. 1 Windsor, the Mustangs women's basketball team improved to 9-1 on the year and moved up one spot to sit at No. 3 in Canada.
Both men's and women's track and field sit ranked No. 4 in Canada to start the new year.
The men's volleyball team continued their dominance to start the year with straight set sweeps over Ryerson and York the past weekend to improve to 12-0 on the year. They stay steady at No. 5 in CIS.
The Mustangs men's hockey team (14-1-3) lost their first game in regulation this year 2-1 last Saturday against Laurier. They slip one spot to No. 5 in the CIS with a doubleheader this weekend against No. 8 Lakehead.
Mustangs swimming is also listed in the CIS top ten with the women's team staying at No. 6 and the men's team dropping one position to No. 10.
