Adopt A Mustang - Ice Hockey (Men's)

Adopt A Mustang - Men's Ice Hockey
At Western, we are committed to providing our student-athletes with the tools necessary to achieve excellence in the classroom, in their sport, and in their chosen profession. As a part of this commitment, we are determined to ensure these deserving student-athletes are able to focus on their athletic and academic goals. With your help, we can ensure that today's student-athletes are able to succeed not only today, but also into the future as well.

Coach's Message

"The Adopt A Mustang program aims to enhance the athletic experience of every varsity hockey player. The winning tradition of the Western Mustangs Men’s hockey team was established by the people who have played, coached and supported the team over the past four decades.

In order to maintain and develop this culture of excellence, we need to recruit the top student-athletes from across the country and give them the best possible experience both in the classroom and on the ice. Through this initiative, you can help us with our goal of making the Western Mustangs Men’s Hockey program the #1 location for elite student-athletes in the country. We want you to be part of our team and continue the tradition of fostering excellence in all aspects of our program - tradition that was built by you.

Please consider giving to the Adopt A Mustang program. Thank you for your continued support – see you at the rink this winter!"

Clarke Singer
Men's Hockey Head Coach

"Sport has played a significant role in my life. In reflecting back on my student-athlete experience at Western, I can appreciate the incredible influence these years had in shaping me as a person, as a professional and as a community citizen. Teamwork, leadership, fair play, winning and losing with dignity and humility are but a few of the lessons learned.

There are so many ways we give back to sport, to our community, to our alma mater. For me, giving someone the opportunity to experience and compete in interuniversity athletics through the Adopt A Mustang program is more than giving back – it is an investment in shaping citizens and leaders of tomorrow."

Thérèse Quigley (B.A. '75, B. Ed '77)
Director of Sports and Recreation Services
