Unemployment Rates Fall
Unemployment rates dropped in 43 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia for the month of November, according to figures released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on December 20, 2011. Unemployment went up in only three states and remained unchanged in four states. More

2011 Pension Resources
Utah has adopted and Rhode Island is considering a "hybrid" model for state pension reform that provides employees with both a traditional pension plan and a 401(k)-type plan. It provides safer employee benefits and can be less expensive for governments than a traditional plan. More
